Retired Kings & Queens
Brushy Kreek Elmyra
Blue Silver Classic Tabby
This is Elmyra. She had two litters here at Mayhem (Zodiac Academy & Degrassi). She recently went to a foster home to have a year off from cattery life and she got injured. Something happened to her hip so now she suffers from mild hip dysplasia on her right side. Left side is perfect! However, she won’t be able to carry another pregnancy as this may affect her walk/gait if she gained a bunch of pregnancy weight. We chose to spay her and find her a forever home (could it be you?!).
Areana Like a Lion
Black Tortoiseshell
This is Areana. She had zero litters. She is an exceptional cat with an incredible type and temperament. Her father is a triple world champion and got awarded best Maine Coon in the WORLD 2023. We did not get to have any litters from Areana because she came to our cattery with quite a few viruses and persistent mouth ulcers. Areana went back home to her breeder Like a Lion Cattery in Russia.
Hissy Fit Rachel
Black Smoke
This is Rachel. She had zero litters. I got Rachel from Hissy Fit Cattery at 14 weeks old and raised her until she was 1 and could finish her health testing. Unfortunately she immediately failed her hip scan. At only 1 year old Rachel was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. I had to give her to a trusted friend to ensure she got the proper care and treatment that she needs to live her best life.
Hissy Fit Phoebe
Black Silver Classic Tabby (polydactyl)
This is Phoebe. She had zero litters. She was born in the same litter as Rachel, from Hissy Fit Cattery. Unfortunately Phoebe was also never able to be a queen in our program because she ultimately had too many heat cycles and developed cysts on her ovaries. It was safest to spay her and rehome her for her safety and well being. As she grew up she also did not develop enough chin that aligns with the TICA Maine Coon standard so she was best for a pet home in the long run. She found an amazing home here in California!
TheFarmersCat Jaegermeister
Black Tortoiseshell
This is Kate. She had zero litters. We got her from The Farmers Cat Maine Coons. Kate was not able to be bred due to her personality type and her blood type! She has B blood and our male Nine has A blood. It’s possible to mix blood types like this but it’s very risky to the newborn kittens so it’s only necessary if the queen brings ALL the great qualities needed in the Maine Coon breed. For Kate, she’s better off in her amazing pet home here in California.
TheFarmersCat Amora
Blue Torbie with White
This is Tallulah. She had zero litters. We got this girl from The Farmers Cat Maine Coons as well. She is also B blood and she is a carrier of the gene PKD. Unfortunately her type and personality did not make breeding these traits worth it. She was extremely skittish but beautiful all the same. She went home with her sister and lives happily ever after here in California.
Milimasheri Boss
Red Silver Spotted Tabby
This is Boss! He had 1 litter. He is most amazing male a cattery could have. He got to sire an amazing litter for us (The Ravenhood). Unfortunately for us, Nine did not think he was as amazing as we did. It was a peeing war here with both boys. There was no chance they could get along so we made the decision for Boss to move to his forever home in Montana. He is incredibly healthy, big, and has his Champion title. We miss him so much!
Milimasheri Miss
Red Tabby
This is Miss Andy. She had zero litters. Such a beautiful red girl! She was my dream in every way but unfortunately this was another girl who was never able to be a mama here at Mayhem. She had some health issues that would flare up every once in awhile and her immune system was not strong enough for cattery/mom life. She moved to Illinois where she’s super fat and happy with her doggy siblings.
Maine Atlas GG
Black Smoke Tortoiseshell
This is Saeris. She had zero litters. Another absolutely beautiful girl that didn’t work out in our cattery. We named her Saeris Fane. Unfortunately she came very sick with Giardia and Mycoplasma. After multiple rounds of treatment with no success, she went back to her breeder Maine Atlas Maine Coons. She is now healthy and a queen for that cattery in South Carolina!
